Pabna Zilla School is the oldest high school in the Pabna District
of Bangladesh
and one of the top-ranked schools in the country. It provides education from class three (grade-3) to class ten (grade-10). It has two shifts - morning and day. The morning shift starts at 7.30 am and day shifts starts at 12.00 noon.Though it is a boy's school, it has both male and female teachers. Ramchandra Nandi was the headmaster during the period 1844-1853. In 1 nov,1853 the School became a government Public school (government funded) and was named Pabna Zilla School. In 1966-1967 the number of students were 717. But now it has a wide range of teachers and students.

Generally, admission is permitted in class three, six and nine once in a year. Admission into this school is very competitive.
