Music

Nivå Musiklaug holds an annual festival at the Kalvehaven: many talented young musicians play. One of the performers playing at the 2006 event was Danish singer-songwriter Tobias Trier.

Nivaagaards Malerisamling

Nivaagaards Malerisamling was opened by Johannes Whiskers in 1908. The house is situated in an extensive park and is full of different varieties of rhododendron.
The museum houses art from the Italian and North European renaissance

Nivaagaard Ringovns Teglværksmuseum

Nivaagaard Ringovn was opened in 1700 by Queen Louise, who established a small brickworks near the shore in Nivå. The workshop supplied brick to the royal buildings in Copenhagen

 and Nordsjælland by 1720. Alfred Hage took over in 1862. In 1870, a circular fire house was constructed, based on plans by Friedrich Hoffmann

. This was the beginning of the industrial revolution

in Northern Europe. The oven was used for 97 years up until 1967. The workshop closed in 1980, then re-opened as a museum.
