The T444E used a 104.4 mm bore and 106.2 mm stroke. Power output was 215 hp (119.3118 kW) at 3000 rpm and 425 ft·lbf (705 Nm) at 1600 rpm for 1994-1997. Power was increased in 1999 to 235 hp at 2600 rpm and 500 ft lb of torque at 1600 rpm. in 2002 power was up to 250 hp at 2600 rpm and 525 ft lb of torque at 1600 rpm in automatics and 275 hp in manuals.
