History and leadership

Nation Consulting was founded in 2003 by Thad Nation , now a senior partner in the firm. Nation founded the firm based on his political experience, having run the communications efforts of two governors in different states;Indiana Governor Frank O'Bannon and Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle. Nation has also served as communications director for the Indiana and Wisconsin Democratic Parties and as a deputy press secretary for the Democratic National Committee.

He also is the current chair of the Milwaukee County Democratic Party. Partner Jim Greer was involved in the startup of WisPolitics Publishing, an online news service company, prior to joining the firm. His political experience includes work on Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson's 1998 re-election campaign
