. Najmul Hasan was a favorite disciple and son-in-law of Muhammad Abbas Shushtri al-Jazairi. Muhammad Abbas was the teacher of Hamid Husain and Abul Hasan. Muhammad Abbas was also a contemporary of the author of Jawahir (a famous book on Fiqh).

Najmul Millat's great grandson is Syed Hamidul Hasan, Principal of Jamia Nazmia and great-great-grandson Faridul Hasan, its former principal.
