Geography

Muddanur is located at 14.6667°N 78.4000°E. It has an average elevation of 185 meters (610 feet).

The roots of Muddanur starts with the founders The Gajjalla Family, belonging to the Reddy Community. There are High Schools, Village House, Clubs, Hospitals, Mosques, Temples and Movie Theatres built by Gajjalla Ranga Reddy & his extended families. Gajjalla Ranga Reddy, a well established, respected, very successful businessman who played an active role in Andhra Pradesh Politics & a Philanthropist had the vision to make Muddanur the self sufficient town it has come to become today. The palatial Joint family home constructed by Gajjalla Ranga Reddy is located near the town's Bus stand in the heart of the town. The hospitality and generosity of the household beckoned the passers to stop by and sit on the steps for some relief from the hot sun. Muddanur has transformed itself since then from a typical Malguddi Days life style to a moderate self sufficient town with a major cement factory that provides for most of the labor & employment.
