Speculation of the EP's title points to the name possibly originating from its release in the year 2010, its total of 10 tracks, "moving on" from their 10th album, the fact it is their 10th EP, or all of these. The title could also be a pun on the phrase "move often", a reference to Autechre being on tour at the time of its release. It may also be noted that the titles of Move of Ten and its parent album, Oversteps
