). A lagoon
named Prokopou lagoon is near Metochi. It is located near Kalogria Beach.
The beach is not far from Metochi where it overlooks the hills of Aetolia
in the Aitoloacarnania prefecture, the islands of Oxeia
and Echinades
and the southern part of the Ionian Islands
especially the island of Kefallinia in the west. Strofylia Forest, a forest
of especially some willow
or eucalyptus
trees, surrounds much of Metochi except for the east where the land is used for farming. The forest covers much of the community and extends to a nearby hill in the southwest between Loutra Yrminis and Old Vouprasi. Wetlands dominate the areas within the beach.
