Maval Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha
(parliamentary) constituencies in Maharashtra
state in western India
. This constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary and legislative assembly constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India
constituted in 2002. This constituency is one of the two newly formed Lok Sabha constituencies in Pune district
after delimitation in 2008. This constituency consists three Vidhan Sabha
segments of Raigad district
also. Most of the areas covered by this constituency were earlier under erstwhile Khed
constituency.
