MPS Group was founded in 1992 as Accustaff Incorporated in Jacksonville and changed its name to MPS Group, Inc. in 2002. With revenues of US$2.2 billion in 2008, the company has clients in over 200 office locations worldwide. Company acquired

On October 20, 2009, the company announced that it was being acquired by Swiss company Adecco Group

for US$1.3 billion in cash. Adecco is the largest human resources company in the world. Adecco indicated that it would not change the MPS brand name. Jacksonville will become Adecco's center for professional staffing in North America. The merger was completed in the first quarter of 2010.
