Geography

Loffenau is located within a tributary valley of the "Murgtal" in the western slopes of the northern black forest.

Local attractions

One of the major points of interests from Loffenau is located within the Protestantic "Heilig Kreuz" church. Within the 550 years old medieval tower choir of the church what was rebuilt within 19th century frescos are very good preserved and restored. Against various of apostles and saints you can find the picture of the "host mill". A viewing platform is located near the church what is easy to reach by feet.
Also a major attraction is the tower "Teufelsmühle" on top of the mountain "Teufelsmühle" with the altitude of 2979 ft (908m)
