Burma , officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar , is a country in Southeast Asia. Burma is bordered by China on the northeast, Laos on the east, Thailand on the southeast, Bangladesh on the west, India on the northwest, the Bay of Bengal to the southwest, and the Andaman Sea on the south....

 began issuing stamps in 1937 under its former name of Burma. This list is short because Myanmar's stamp issuing policies are among the most conservative in the world. It also avoids featuring individuals on its stamps. The stamps of Myanmar have been reviewed up to the year 2000, and only two identifiable individuals have appeared on them since it achieved modern independence in 1948.
