). In a field just south of the village lie the remains of the "Miz Maze", an earthwork of uncertain origin that, centuries ago, folklore attributes to having connections with witchcraft - possibly a meeting place for witches. Little remains now except a few grassy mounds.
Leigh is also the home of Hall Fudges Bakery, founded in 1926 and supplier of their award winning Cheddar Wafers to the Royal Family.
