Law Uk is a simple Hakka

 village house for residence which was built over 200 years ago by the Law family. The house is named after its original owner, a Hakka family whose Chinese surname is transcript as "Law".

Their ancestors settled in Chai Wan early in the Kangxi reign (1662–1722) of the Qing Dynasty
