History

It started so well as the Chambers wilderness Lalic. The first Slovaks come in Lalic 1788th from Banat where they were colonized, and there are a refuge from the constant Turkish attacks. Another much larger group of Slovaks came 1780th from Slovakia (Tatra Mountains environment) and from Peštanske, Zvonjenske, Gemerske and Njitranjske County. According to census 1900th Lalic had 2530 inhabitants and 465 house numbers. From Lalic was born poet Nestor Zucni(Proka Jovkić) who after returning from America was a scholar of Serbian government as a volunteer ,died of typhus and was buried in Nis.
