Kurki Mahadev

the temple of lord shiva is situated in the village kurki towards ajmer road passing through pilgrim Pushkar. this is the village governed by the Rajputana in early times and till today the major leading communities are the Rajputas and Charans.
story about the Kurki mahadeo is that:
in the early times there was a cowboy he have many cows. He used to wander in the village to make his starved cows satisfied. Once when he was sleeping Lord shiva came to his dream and ordered him to make a temple without digging the shiva linga which will be appeared after his disappearance. Cowboy went to villagers and make the temple but he dealt the wrong way he make it digged. Thus the shiv linga goes half in the temple. and the snakes came out of it.
and from that day the temple is governed by Lord Shiva and the temple is knighted as NEELKANTH MAHADEO.
