In March 2007, it was announced that Spencer Lewis would be appointed the new headteacher of the school, replacing the previous headmaster, Rabbi James Kennard. In 2010, it emerged that the school was suffering serious financial problems as a result of falling school rolls and a number of staff were made redundant. This resulted in larger group sizes, and in the admission of non-Jewish students. According to the Jewish Chronicle, for 2011 non-Jewish students will make up 40% of the school (http://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/51993/sinai-asked-take-non-jewish-pupil).

As a comprehensive school, it follows the National Curriculum which is as follows:

Years 10-11 GCSE,
Years 12-13 (6th form) A levels. KSHS is a technology college; at least one technology subject must be chosen by each GCSE student. All four are studied prior to GCSE.
