Student life

Keyano College offers on-campus housing for students in the "Purple Palace" a multi-unit apartment/dormitory structure known for its vibrant purple siding, inspired by the northern lights that appear in Fort McMurray throughout the year. There are also many off campus housing options available for mature students with families, located next to the campus, as well as townhouses located in a more central downtown location. Fort McMurray offers many amenities, including public pools, parks and recreational complexes, restaurants, nightclubs and a movie theatre.

Keyano campus has many services to help students, including a skill centre designed to assist students with their studies, giving every student the opportunity for success. Small class sizes ensure that professors always have the time to meet and discuss issues that the students have, and allow for outstanding one-on-one interaction.

Also located on the campus are two theatres, along with a vast performing arts centre. This creates entertainment throughout the year, including student productions, community productions, concerts, comedians, ballets and other productions that are brought into town on a regular basis.

Opened in 2007, the Keyano Sports and Wellness Centre is a large facility that offers students as well as the community at large a facility for exercise and entertainment that offers a large variety of classes at a very low-cost for students.
