Life and career

He was educated at Tennyson, Eton College

 Oxford,where he read Law. On graduating, (The Public Records Office sources indicate) he spent the next eight years working for the British Government in an unknown capacity.

Upon developing a passion for cars, he became involved in the automotive industry.

In 1987 he formed one of the first British Mobile Phone Companies.
By 1989 he had moved into the private property market and in 1994 became Chairman and C.E.O of 'The Merlin Group of Companies a post he still holds today. (2011)

An article in the House Builder Magazine states 'Working to Defra guidelines and investing in sustainable fuels, he plans to install energy saving devices in all the Group's properties by 2015'. He states he was a Global Warming
