. His son, Roald, a montonero himself, was killed in what became known as the Battle of La Plata
along with several other partisans in (November, 1976) during the first months of the military coup led by General Jorge Rafael Videla
. Juan A. Montes remained as Rector of the UTN throughout the third presidential period of Juan Domingo Perón. The events of 1976 led Juan A.
