In the early 90s and 80s, Jannaram was famous for its timber depo and government saw mill. Jannaram was once upon a time famous for thick bamboo forests in areas like Kalleda, Dongapalli, Islampur. So many forest contractors like M. V. Rajanna, G Satyanarayana Reddy, Prakash Rao used to do buisiness here.
Now also there are a lot of tigers, cheatas, leapords, cheetas, deers are present in this forest. Now Jannaram is known for deers sanctuary.
The Kawal wild life sanctury falls in Jannaram mandal in the out skirts of headquarter Jannaram. Jannaram forest division is famous for its teak forests.
There is a BSNL telephone exchange in Jannaram near bus stand .The new bus stand was ingurated by Ravi kumar JTO .
