He was the son of Syed Amir Abbas Abidi from Khairpur. He got his primary education from Rahbar Primary School, then attended the Naaz High-school, Khairpur. He earned an MA from Karachi University. He got his basic and advance religious studies from Maulana Syed Qaisar Abbas.
