IDS was founded by Andi S Boediman in 2000 as Digital Studio College. At the end of 2008, Digital Studio College changed its name to International Design School

IDS organizes the IDS Creative Festival annually. This festival is a gathering event of creative communities in Jakarta. The festival consists of:
