. Husain Shah is the only Pakistani boxer to have grabbed any medal in Olympics history and for his fantastic feat he was honoured with Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the government of Pakistan in 1989.

Shah, who has also to his credit five gold in the South Asian Games history, remained the best boxer of Asia from 1980 to 1988, a rare prominence achieved by any Pakistani pugilist so far.

He currently trains boxers in Japan.
