It was rebranded HotNews.ro in 2005. As of December 2008, they claim to have between 80,000 and 90,000 daily visitors.

 other news outlets and scornfully nicknamed it Hoţnews (Hoţ meaning thief in Romanian), even though Cristian Pantazi, Hotnews' editor-in-chief, claims that 90% of the articles published are now produced in-house.
