General information

Hazel Grove High School's GCSE results are above England's national average. However, according to the schools league table it is ranked lower than other schools in the area. It has gained DfES designation for three of its subjects and is also a Microsoft Academy.

In 2006 the school became a Research and Development Hub for the North West of England for Learning Technologies. This designation was made by the Specialist Schools' Trust.
