Haveli Lakha has been politically significant as it has produced people of such high stature as Mian Muhammad Yasin Wattoo (former Federal Minister of Finance from village Jamal Kot), Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo (former Chief Minister of Punjab from village Wasaway Wala).
