Early life and education

Gulshan Grover was born, raised and educated in Delhi, India. After receiving his master’s degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, he decided to make a career in the entertainment industry. He honed his acting skills in theatre, and after many stage productions with the well-known “Little Theatre Group” he moved to Bombay to further his acting career.

An alumnus of the ‘Actor’s Studio’ Gulshan Grover even taught acting at this institute where he was formally trained with classmates like actor Anil Kapoor. In fact, some of today’s leading Indian stars viz Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, etc. were once his students.
He has acted in Hollywood films like, Second Jungle Book, Rose and Margurite, Beeper etc.

Career

Gulshan Grover has acted in over 400 films through a career spanning over 25 years. He is versatile professional with a passion for his chosen craft and has acted in many of India’s Top blockbusters that has brought him accolades, awards and an unparalleled Fan following. Gulshan is a prominent figure in the Indian film community and known to be among actors that lend their support to social and noble causes.

Gulshan Grover is not only an actor, but a producer and an entrepreneur.

He also won BEST ACTOR award on Sept 24th 2011 for the same role of Dada Bhagwan at the Houston Film Festival.
His recent film ‘I Am Kalam’ earned him a nomination for NATIONAL AWARDS OF INDIA ‘Best Supporting Actor’.
His personal commitment to give back to people and society through social causes has led to him being known as “The entertainer for a good cause”.

Gulshan Grover was the Grand Marshall at the Los Angeles Parade to celebrate India’s Independence Day (in 2008 & 2009). He was also the Co-Grand Marshall at the New York Parade (2011).
