, the GP3 modding scene has slowly declined, and with the cracking of track editing for GP4 many track modders left GP3 for the newer title.

Major Changes from Grand Prix 2

Weather - GP3 not only added the possibility of 'wet' races, it also added variable rainfall, i.e. the track's wetness changing throughout the course of a race, and varying levels of wetness at different points on the track. GP2 did not feature wet races.

Commentary - Players received communications from their team, about incidents on the track or when they needed to pit. Some of these sounds were included in Grand Prix 2 but were not active in the game. It should also be noted that this feature is only present in the Grand Prix 3 2000 season add-on.
