with a degree in performance and composition in 1986. That same year, he moved to New York City
where he performed as a jazz pianist in Manhattan. For over a year, Egloff served as the house pianist one night a week at the famous Village Gate club on Bleecker Street
. During that same period, he performed at The Village Vanguard, The Blue Note, Chicago Blues, Zanzibar, The Knitting Factory, Sweet Basil and many, many others and worked with many jazz and blues instrumentalists and singers including Blues greats Ruth Brown
and Linda Hopkins
