like KRL, PEC or SPD. With job most of the people depends on Agriculture. Few people have small dairy system within their home. There is a Girls high school and a Boys Middle School in the Gagri located in Pind Gagri.

There is a railway line which passes from the village and a heavy railway bridge was constructed by the British government in 1860 on soan river on southern side of Dhoke Shian. On the southern side of the village, the soan river passes towards eastern side which meets with ling stream just before Cock Pull near MAJU university.

Flood in Soan River

In near past years, many times heavy or small flood has been observed in the soan river. In 1974, 1992, 1998 and then 2010, due to heavy rains in Murree and some upper adjacent hill area, a big amount of water came in soan river which caused heavy flood in the river. The flood of 1992 was biggest flood of the history of soan river. The water spread in the area outside the river. At that time the water passed over the Cock pull.

Weather

The weather of the area is same as in all upper Punjab. Temperature reaches 0 to 45 degrees Celsius in summer however it decreases to 00 Celsius in winter. Due to Soan river and ling stream, huge fog creates in the morning time in the months of December and January. The months of Feb, Mar and Oct, Nov are ideal for living in this area. Heavy rains are observed in the months of July and August.
