This line operates during the daytime, Monday through Saturday. There is no service on weeknights, Saturday nights, or at any time on Sundays. Passengers who wish to travel to/from Fremont and San Francisco/Daly City at these times must transfer between the Richmond - Fremont Line

BART lines are usually not referred to by the color that identifies them on official system maps, so this line is rarely called the Green Line and the term is never used by BART officials. It is sometimes called the Fremont Line. In May 2008, an electrical fire at the Hayward Maintenance Yard caused the Fremont Line to end at Hayward Station. Soon after service was restored but with only half as many trains in service as repairs were being made. Full service was restored in July 2008.
