The ship management division of EXMAR offers high end ship management services to the maritime industry. These services include:

• Crewing services: Exmar Shipmanagement provides staff to operate almost every type of vessel with the emphasis on LNG and LNGRV carriers, LPG carriers, chemical and product tankers, crude oil tankers, dry cargo vessels and offshore units.

LNG / LPG / Ethylene


EXMAR Shipmanagement has gained substantial experience in the management of LNG and LPG tonnage, as the primary ship manager of Exmar NV. Exmar NV has carried out an extensive new building program over the last fifteen years. This provided EXMAR Shipmanagement the opportunity to manage their vessels right from NB spec review to full operations. Their experience in assisting the owner during pre-delivery and the first months of operation (first outfit, guarantee items, etc.) is a relevant asset.
Training programs have been set up with the Antwerp Maritime Academy for in-depth training with the STCW and ARPA, BRM, GMDSS and full mission Bridge simulators.

Case study: The group has managed LNG carrier “METHANIA” from her conception at the yard (Boelwerf 1977) onwards. She also functions as a training ship for the Antwerp Maritime Academy.


In 2005 the ship management and crewing of the first LNGC of EXMAR, “EXCALIBUR”, has been entrusted to EXMAR Shipmanagement.

Fully pressurized /Semi-refrigerated cargo

Being the ship operating arm of the Exmar group, Exmar Shipmanagement has been in charge for the management and operation of LPG carriers of all kinds. Currently, they operate 5 VLGC’s (4 for Exmar and 1 for STOLT), 8 midsize gas carriers, 2 semi-refrigerated and 2 fully pressurised gas carriers.

Offshore

Exmar Shipmanagement has been responsible for the technical operations of the following three offshore units since the delivery date:

• Farwah: 35000 oilbbl/d, 900000 bbl (143,088.6 m³) storage FPSO
• Kissama: Offshore service non-propelled accommodation barge for 220 people
• Nunce: Offshore service non-propelled accommodation barge for 350/450 people
