The band was formed as a mainly electronic-based project in Glasgow 2004 by members Simon Ward, Greg Paterson and Stephen Livingstone. After a handful of well-received hometown shows they attracted the attention of the band Mogwai

The band followed up their debut with the 'How Clean is your Acid House? EP in 2006. The first track on the EP, "Mr Milk", would become a signature tune for the band, later being used by the UK Channel 5 network as advert music for several of their US drama shows. Their debut album Its Not Something But It Is Like Whatever was released on Rock Action records in June 2008 to significant critical acclaim. The now-quartet's more complex and eclectic sound wrought comparisons in some quarters to US band Battles among others. In 2011 Errors were invited performers at the South By Southwest

 festival in March and in the same month released a limited edition 7" picture disc single featuring new tracks 'Magna Encarta' and 'Ganymede'. In April/May 2011 Errors embarked upon a tour of the United States and Canada supporting Mogwai.
