MMA career

Kelly made his MMA debut in 2009 submitting Filipino fighter Robert Buminaag with a rear-naked choke at URCC 14. In November 2010 he fought Nate Flores for the vacant URCC Featherweight Title. Kelly won that fight with a rear naked choke in the fifth round to maintain his perfect record and become the new URCC Featherweight Champion. Kelly had originally been scheduled to face former King of the Cage
