Private life

For almost 20 years she has been the wife of Janusz Kruk

, whom she met at the age of 17. They married in February 1973 and divorced in the late 1980s, after Janusz had left her for another woman. His death in 1992 turned out to be a shock for Elżbieta, who gave up public and artistic life, and has since become reclusive.

Her biggest passion has always been singing - she started to take part in singing lessons in her earliest years. She attended high school as well as musical school at the same time, where she learned to play flute
