The school colors are forest green and white. The mascot is the Panther. The school is a member of the North Coast League. The football and soccer teams play in the Knights of Columbus Field which was built in the early 1960s. In 2007 the Knights of Columbus Field was dedicated to Sgt. Lane Tollett from the class of 1994. Sgt. Tollett died while serving his country in Iraq.

Girl's Basketball

2007-2008 Season.The team had a upbringing when the class of 2011 came in. The class contained Emily Taylor, Ashely Schuster, Myrasia Flowers, Molly O'Malley, Tori Rothgery, Juliana Tremont, and Anna McNeeley. But with Mimi Rothgery, Katie Shoemaker,Emily Thompson, Andrea Eichenlaub, Sara Schneider the sophomores, Katherine McNeeley and Cassidy Keating the only two juniors,and Stephanie Recko the only senior they had a successful season. With head coach Patrick Higley leading them to their first championship in the Elyria Catholic Holiday Classic.

2008-2009 season. Elyria Catholic's team was slightly more successful. With head coach Patrick Higley was let go and replaced with the JV Coach Eric Rothgery. The team had many competitive games with Chardon Notre Dame Cathedral Latin, Bedford St.Peter Chanel, Cleveland Lutheran East, and Cleveland Villa Angela- St.Joseph.

2009-2010 Season With Elyria Catholic girls losing to state champions Regina they still had a dominant team. Elyria Catholic were North
Coast League Co-Champions and Villa Angela-St.Joseph standing close by.The 3 first state tounament games easy to fly by they had a very intense game with Loudonville. Loudonville took Elyria Catholic into a 11 point lead. The game got into overtime. But when Ashely Schuster missed a layup there was Sara Schneider to recover the layup and win the game in a buzzer beater. Giving Elyria Catholic girls their first district championship. Elyria Catholic played statewide ranked Regina.Regina lost 3 out of their 5 starters all three going to Division 1 colleges. With starting point guard and center going to Division 1 colleges we knew that they would be a challenge. Elyria Catholic had the lead for the first quarter but the defending state champions were too much for Elyria Catholic and took a hard lost. The next day Elyria Catholic girls athletic director got a call and Regina were disqualified of the state tournament. Elyria Catholic girls played Smithville and took a harder lost by 28 points.
