Beginning in 1995, Jason Dyloot Sperling began DJing in the San Francisco underground scene spinning Progressive Techno. Dyloot has maintained his status as one of the biggest Trance music

In 1997 he stepped into the realm of event promotion and started Skills Productions with, then partner and DJ, Tom Slik. Skills quickly became the biggest electronic dance music

In 1999 started Skillsdj Throwing their first event ElectroTechnoDiscoPopsicle at 2&Jax in May 1999. June 1999, Dyloot and Tom Slik opened their record store Skills DJ Workshop in Berkeley, Ca. Their record store had the largest selection of Underground Dance Music in the Bay Area and was one of the last remaining record stores dedicated to electronic dance music
