History

The paper was founded in 1860 originally it was in a broadsheet

 format but in 1988 switched to the tabloid format.

Content of the newspaper

The paper is published every Wednesday. The paper includes local news and sport.

In September 2011, the Times merged with another local newspaper, the Driffield Post, this 'new' publication is still published weekly, but is now twice the volume.
