in 2004 and lives with her extended family that are also her biggest fans, support her whole-heartedly and are hugely instrumental in her success.

As a semi-finalist Devika has outperformed thousands upon thousands of competitors and survived a grueling seven rounds of auditions in front of Canadian Idol's four-member judging panel. Devika showed her true talent and passion for music on Canadian Idol

Devika sang hits from such music superstars as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey & Toni Braxton...a feat very few true singers could accomplish. Unfortunately Devika did not receive enough votes to make it into the top ten, but she was the first Indian to reach the top 32 and finished in the top 12 in the competition.
