In the same year, Price was made an honorary Fellow of the Academy of Saint Cecilia for his contribution to the performance of early music through his work at Portsmouth.

Portsmouth Cathedral

During Price's tenure at Portsmouth, a girls'/youth choir, called Cantate!, has been introduced, and a West Great organ has been installed. A chamber organ was purchased in 2007 with funds from a bequest to the Music Department. In addition, the choir have moved from the Song School in the North Cloister

Price's career as a cathedral organist has included several recordings with Ely and Portsmouth. A recording of Amner's choral music is amongst four CDs recorded whilst Price was at Ely, and a reenactment of Nelson
