The length of the fore-wings is 18-23 mm. The moth flies from April to August depending on the location.

 feed on Aegopodium podagraria, Angelica silvestris, Angelica archangelica v. litoralis, Levisticum officinale, Heracleum sphondylium and Heracleum laciniatum.
