Czeladz [] is a town in south Poland with 34,402 inhabitants (2004).
It is situated in the Silesian Voivodship (since 1999), previously in Katowice Voivodship (1975-1998), and historically is part of the Zaglebie Dabrowskie (Zaglembia) region of Lesser Poland, adjoining Upper Silesia. Founded in the XIII century, Czeladz was granted city status in 1262. In the years 1434 - 1790, it belonged to the Duchy of Siewierz. In the XIX century, Czeladz became an important mining center, with the Saturn coal mine opened there in late XIX century.

In the XIX century, Czeladz became an important mining center, with the Saturn coal mine opened there in late XIX century. It also was a main center of Jewish culture, destroyed in the Holocaust.
