to both planets in the opposition. When looking at the configuration in the chart, it resembles a T, which is why it is called a T-Square.

The T-Square is seen in approximately 40% of all horoscopes, so it is a quite common configuration. It tends to put pressure on the native, and this tension is usually what propels the native to take actions to remedy the stressful situation that has presented itself.

As an example of a T-Square, take an individual whose natal Moon

in the fourth house. Technically speaking, this is not a true T-Square because an 8 degree orb is allowed in an opposition or square. The person used in this example is a genuine person with the T-Square in those positions, and although the orb is actually 9 degrees instead of 8, she quite often feels the influence of this T-Square. Therefore, even though the configuration is technically not a valid one because the orb is greater than 8 degrees, the person who has inherited this T-Square feels its presence nonetheless.

The T-Square cited in the example about has an opposition between the Sun and the Moon, with Neptune forming an apex in the fourth house. This person has had to deal with many troubles involving deception with her family, and her mother in particular, and this is evidenced by the Moon in the twelfth house forming a square to Neptune in her fourth house. In addition, she has have many difficulties with her personal relationships with others, to include two divorces, which has led to many more troubles in her home and family life, and this is astrologically represented by her Sun forming a square to Neptune in the fourth house.

As can be seen, when a T-Square is present in a person's chart, many difficulties will present themselves because the square quite often brings about an unteniable situation that the native will take measures to be relieved from. When a person is experiencing difficulties with the T-Square in his chart, the best thing to do is to focus on the point opposite the apex of the T-Square.

Using the example above to illustrate this point, the person who has the T-Square in Leo, Aquarius, and Scorpio just by chance has no planets posited in Taurus or the tenth house of her horoscope. Therefore, whenever troubles with her personal relationships and family life get her down, her best course of action is to focus on her career and activities outside of the home, which will help her to take measures to resolve those difficulties that have presented themselves to her.
