History

Community CPS Australia Ltd (Community CPS) was formed as a result of a merger between CPS Credit Union (SA) Ltd and CPS Credit Union Co-operative (ACT) Ltd in March 2006.

In November 2008, Western Australian based United Credit Union Ltd (United) and Westax merged with Community CPS and now carry on business in Western Australia

Community CPS is now the fourth largest credit union in Australia with more than 178,000 members, 550 employees and managing a combined $3.1 billion in assets (as at 30 June 2010).

Community CPS has 12 Personal Financial Centres in South Australia, 8 in the Australian Capital Territory and 2 in regional New South Wales. In Western Australia, United Community has 14 Personal Financial Centres located across the State and Companion operates 10 Personal Financial Centres in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.
