History

CommunityAmerica Credit Union was founded on March 19, 1940 as TWA

 Club Credit Union by TWA pilot George Duvall. Through the years, the credit union continued to grow: in 1992 it changed its name to Members America Credit Union; in 1998 Members America merged with CommunityAmerica Credit Union; and most recently, in 2007, CommunityAmerica merged with Midwest United Credit Union.

Community support

In line with the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” CommunityAmerica supports the promotion of financial literacy

CommunityAmerica offers each of its full-time employees 12 hours of paid time each year to volunteer for the 501(c)3 non-profit organizations of their choice. Additionally, it partners with other Kansas City-area credit unions to support Children’s Miracle Network.
