The Comberbach Mummers still perform the village's traditional Soulcaking Play (a form of Mummers Play

), which commences on the Eve of All Souls (31 October) and lasts for two weeks. This was re-started in the mid-1980s after a brief lapse and has been performed each year since (now 2007). The Mummers meet on most Thursday evenings in The Spinner and Bergamot for 'rehearsal'.
