In September 2011, the school appointed a new headteacher, Claire Price, who will take over in January 2012 following the retirement of John E. Barnbrook. Tony Price is Acting Head until then. The Deputy Heads are Victoria Duke and Jacky Wilson, and Assistant Heads are Emma Mellen, Richard Jones and Tony Lowery.

Students (years 7-11) are required to dress in a uniform consisting of light blue shirts, black trousers or skirts, black shoes, black blazer or a black jumper and a school-issued badge and tie. The sports facilities include two rugby union
