Academic programs

Central Ohio Technical College offers career-oriented degrees in Digital Media Design, Forensic Science, Accounting, Advanced Manufacturing, Business Management, Computer Programming, Drafting and Design, Electrical Trades, Electronic Engineering, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Early Childhood Development, Emergency Medical Services, Human Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Surgical Technology, Criminal Justice, and Law Enforcement.
At Central Ohio Technical College, students can earn one of 50 associate degrees (including all options and majors) or certificates, and obtain the high-tech skills and training needed to compete in today's workforce. Students choose COTC to gain hands-on, applicable experience to begin working in the field, or to transfer those credits toward a bachelor's degree program. One of the unique features of COTC is four full-service campus locations throughout the region, as well as convenient online classes. Through the newly developed Workforce Development Innovation Center, COTC is well prepared to meet the customized training and education needs of the business communities.

The campus also offers abundant student recreation and cultural activities, with more than 50 student organizations and clubs. The John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center has become a beautiful and friendly hub of student life on the campus, and is also valued by community groups and visitors. COTC is proud to enjoy the support of the community, and to be able to provide students with personal attention, superior education, state-of-the-art facilities, and credentialed faculty and staff on a very scenic campus.

Newark

Six buildings make up COTC's Newark campus. These include the 81000 square feet (7,525.1 m²) John and Christine Warner Library and Student Center, opened in August 2008, and the John Gilbert Reese Conference Center. The College's current enrollment on the Newark campus is approximately 2900.

Center for Academic Success

The Center for Academic Success is a multi-service program consisting of the Communications Resource Center, which includes the Communications Resource Center for writing and speech tutoring at Newark, Pataskala, Coshocton and Knox campuses; the Nursing Student Success tutoring program; the Math Lab; and the Education Media and Resource Center. The centers are available to all enrolled COTC students in order to assist students in a successful academic experience.
