's Q150 Iconic list began as a small community event in 1994. By 2009, the Festival attracted close to 15000 patrons. Proceeds from the Street Tickets are donated to various Queensland charities.

Held traditionally on the Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend, the Festival features three stages on the street and entertainment in most of the 12 Caxton Street venues in the Brisbane suburb of Paddington

. The Festival specialises in local Queensland seafood and wine and for the past 17 years has showcased a first-class line up of entertainment. Over the years, various artists such as Russell Crowe, Robbie James of Gangajang, Little Birdy, Grace Knight, Kevin Borich, Kram of Spiderbait, Dukes of Windsor, Tyrone Noonan, Diana Anaid, celebrities from Australian Idol, Big Brother and musical acts from all over Australia playing a variety of music styles.

. Festival organisers support the responsible service and consumption of alcohol and recommends the use of public transport.

Since 2004, The Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival has been recognised by the Australian Performing Rights Association as “the largest independently produced Street Festival in Brisbane and arguably Queensland”. The Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival is now also recognised as a Significant Event for Queensland by Brisbane City Council and Tourism Queensland

. Since 2005, The Pushworth Group, have co-ordinated the event's music programs. In 2009 and 2010, Manny Kyriakidis and Nichola Burton, of Pushworth, have produced and managed this iconic Queensland annual festival.
